An Opportunity is how we refer to land parcels or land assemblies registered in Pipeline, including those offered by landowners, developers, or agents. Learn how to locate, select, and share these opportunities efficiently to foster collaboration and streamline your development pipeline.
Sharing Opportunities in BOOM!
Step 1: Understanding an Opportunity
Opportunities in BOOM! represent land parcels or assemblies registered in Pipeline for purposes such as:
Development sites available for acquisition that are being disposed of by landowners or land agents;
Sites available for infrastructure projects such as data centres or solar farms that are being disposed of by landowners or land agents;
Advertising or Habitat Bank (BNG) opportunities.
Opportunities differ from sites which you personally identify through BOOM!’s Data Studio.
Step 2: Locate and Select an Opportunity
Start a Pipeline Session from the top toolbar in BOOM!;
Choose a location, e.g., Middlesborough, and view the opportunities displayed on the left-hand side;
Hover over a Pipeline tile to highlight its corresponding pin on the map;
Select a specific opportunity to access detailed information, including:
Description (e.g., consented PBSA scheme for 337 self-contained studios);
Financial details;
Options including starting an Appraisal or Data Studio session.
Step 3: Share the Opportunity
Click on Share from the Opportunity’s menu;
Choose between:
BOOM! Member: Share directly with other platform users;
External Email: Enter the email address of a recipient outside BOOM!;
Customise your message, e.g., “Interesting opportunity for collaboration”;
Optionally, attach supporting documents to provide additional context;
Click Share Opportunity to send:
For BOOM! members, the opportunity appears in their dashboard;
For external recipients, an email invitation is sent.
